A beauty fan who frequently gets mistaken for being younger has lauded NMN supplements for their anti-ageing effects.
A beauty influencer has credited her skin care regimen for appearing a decade younger than her age, claiming she takes one anti-ageing supplement 'religiously' for a youthful complexion.
Chloe, a chemical engineer, has built a following of more than 148,000 followers on TikTok since divulging her top tips on biohacking.
She recently took to her platform to discuss youthfulness after she was unexpectedly asked to show her ID despite being in her 30s.
‘I’m travelling the States right now and I just had a drink at my hotel bar and the waitress ID’ed me,” Chloe told her followers. “I was so honoured and happy about that.”

“And then she saw that I was in my 30s on my ID and she was like ‘ok what’s your secrets - write them down for me'.”
The beauty influencer was quick to recognise that genetics are massively influential on the way a person looks. Nevertheless, she believes a supplement has helped her maintain a youthful complexion.
“Mind you there’s a bit of genetic element to it, my mum also does look young for her age," she disclosed, adding: "I have been religiously taking NMN for a few years now."
NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) supplements have become widely recognised among scientific circles for having unique properties that act as a buffer against the side effects of ageing.
Research published in the Journal of Advances in Nutrition confirmed the anti-ageing effects of the supplement after discovering that it could “mitigate age-related disorders such as oxidative stress, DNA damage, neurodegeneration and inflammatory responses".
The research, published in November 2023, pointed out that further research is needed before firm conclusions can be drawn on the benefits of NMN for skin ageing.
“This is supposed to help prevent and slow down the ageing process. It’s a precursor to NAD, which declines as we age," Chloe explained.
“This really can help you with energy, metabolism, as well as DNA repair.”
The influence went on to volunteer additional tips that she relies on for a youthful glow, starting with her diet.
“I absolutely swear by cutting down on sugar and taking a high dose of Omega threes,” she said. “Doing those two things; my complexion has cleared up so much and has [got] a lot more bouncier and dewy."
She continued: “Other things that have given me a youthful glow have definitely been cold showering, using vitamin C in the morning on my skin and also jojoba oil.”
Though the jury is still out on the effectiveness of individual beauty routines for promoting youthfulness, a wealth of scientific research has backed the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for younger-looking skin.
